IMO he’s a good guy to have on a rebuilding team for his influence on the young guys. The Leafs just happened to get good faster than expected.

So in theory he’s a fit for the Rangers... but they weren’t really a full on “burn it to the ground” team. They look like they could contend again next year even—that’s not a team that needs Martin.

NYR is definitely not gonna contend for anything next year. They’re not good enough to make the playoffs but I don’t think they’re bad enough to finish in the basement. 70-80 points again is likely.
